Dear friend, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scott F. Rabideau Sr. After serving the Lord for over 11 years as a Baptist pastor in upstate New York, as well as serving for more than 13 years in the Bible publishing ministry of Northeast Baptist Seedline, the Lord has now called me to full time work as the missionary / director of SOUTHEAST BAPTIST SEEDLINE. "What is SOUTHEAST BAPTIST SEEDLINE (SEBS)?" you might ask. Well, Southeast Baptist Seedline (SEBS) is a network of independent, autonomous, local, New Testament Baptist churches, who have a hands on involvement with Bible publishing for the world. This is accomplished by taking the printed page and collating it, folding the covers, putting the Scripture into the cover, stapling it, cutting the book and boxing them for the field. This ministry is simple, but very rewarding and Biblical. The "seed" of Seedline is the Word of God. Down through the ages there has always been a line of churches that have stayed true to His Word and to His command to make Christ known. The apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 4:16 "And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea." Paul also wrote in 1Thessalonians 5:27 "I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.” Under the law, kings and priests were commanded to make copies of the Word of God. In the New Testament, the local churches were the publishers of the Word of God. We are still in the "Church Age" today, and God still wants His church to publish His Word. It is God's command that we make Jesus Christ known to the world by the Scriptures, for the obedience of the faith. Romans 16:26 tells us so, saying "But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:" Nowhere do we find God ever turning over His book to the world, or the worlds publishing houses. It's no wonder that they have polluted, diluted and corrupted the inerrant, infallible Word of God with their many perversions of the truth. After all, they are only in it for profit. We at SEBS are endeavoring with your help, to put Bible publishing back into the hands of God's people, the local New Testament Baptist church. We believe that God has commissioned the local church to evangelize the world, to baptize the believers, and to disciple new converts. This commission must certainly, of necessity include the publication and distribution of the Scriptures. The Word of God is essential to the furtherance of the Gospel in these last days. SEEDLINE gives opportunity for everyone to have a personal, hands on involvement in world wide missions. Through a network of independent and autonomous Baptist churches, we can accomplish much more for the glory of God than any individual church could do. Millions upon millions of portions of God's Word have been distributed around the world as a result of this network of churches. There are many ways in which you can get involved in SEBS, including but not limited to becoming one of the working churches in this network. One of the very important other ways, is by simply praying for us daily. Our God loves to hear His children call upon Him, praying for one another (James 5:16, 1Thes. 5:25). Another way you can get involved is by financially supporting my wife and I as we go forth, as Bible publishing missionaries, to encourage like-minded, independent Baptist churches throughout the southeast, to get involved in this ministry. Likewise you can also support SEBS itself, to help defray to costs involved in production, and distribution of the Scriptures. Finally, I would like to ask you to consider asking your pastor to allow me the privilege of presenting to you and your church the ministry of SOUTHEAST BAPTIST SEEDLINE. I have an interactive Power-Point type of presentation that takes approximately 35-45 minutes, which makes it appropriate for Sunday School or a Wednesday night service. We also have a missionary display that shows allot of our work and the tremendous outreach of this growing ministry. I am also available and willing to preach if your pastor so desires.
